After a few weeks of rest and relaxation with family and friends during the holiday season, the Salford Group team hits the road to kick to kick off 2016 in style. Phill Doty lights the torch at the Keystone Farm Show.
The 2016 Keystone Farm Show will take place January 5-7 at its traditional home in York, Pennsylvania’s Fairgrounds facility. Attracting farmers from all over Pennsylvania and surrounding states like Maryland, New Jersey, and Delaware, the Keystone Farm Show is Pennsylvania’s largest commercial farm equipment expo of the year. The show’s 350 participating dealers will showcase products in both indoor and outdoor spaces.
Launched in 1998, the Keystone Farm Show has tripled in size since its humble beginnings. The show’s promoter, Lee Trade Shows, markets the event exclusively to full-time farming operations.
At this year’s show, Salford’s Doty, territory sales manager for the northeastern United States, joins Deer Country Farm & Lawn, a Keystone State equipment dealer with locations in Lancaster, Adamstown, Allentown, and Lebanon. Doty and Deer Country will operate from booths W-350 and W-350-A throughout the event’s three days in York.
At this year’s show, Doty will introduce the recently launched Airflo 8600. From Salford’s Valmar line of precision application equipment, the Airflo 8600 is a high-capacity, pull-type pneumatic fertilizer spreader. The 8600 boasts immense field-covering capabilities, as it features pneumatic booms available up to 66 feet.
Also the largest-ever spreader to emerge from the Valmar Airflo line, the 8600 combines mammoth hopper capacity with precision metering delivered by a ground-wheel-drive system that adjusts application rate on-the-go, ensuring uniformity of material spread regardless of ground speed.
