Mueller, Hinners, Shearer Hit the Hawkeye State For Iowa Power Farming Show

February is an important time in the winter trade show season, and the Salford Group team is kicking off the month in style as they roll to the Hawkeye State. Territory managers Greg Mueller, Jason Hinners, and David Shearer are heading to the third largest indoor ag show in the U.S., the Iowa Power Farming Show.

Held annually at the Iowa Events Center in Des Moines, the Iowa Power Farming Show will run from February 2-4. With seven acres of displays, including 1,840 booths, visitors will have the opportunity to check out more than $50 million worth of ag equipment. The show features companies from 29 states and four Canadian provinces, attracting approximately 20,000 visitors.

Mueller, Hinners, and Shearer will be working from the Salford Group booths 1700/1704. They will be providing support to the dealer network and educating producers on the Salford Group story of four product families—Salford, BBI, Valmar, and Aerway—built for soil productivity that makes a difference in the sustainability and profitability of farming operations, worldwide.

At this year’s Iowa Power Farming Show, the trio will feature machines from three of the company’s brands—Salford, BBI, and Valmar. The Salford PathFinder is a steerable undercarriage designed to carry aftermarket dry and liquid fertilizer tanks, for strip-till and row crop application, and was created with the Valmar Airflo line of application products in mind. Also from Salford is the I-1200 vertical tillage machine, born from the company’s Independent Series.  The I-1200 is field finesse at its best, capable of producing the finest surface tillage available. Designed with 40 percent more blades and 39 percent more weight per machine than the standard I-1100, the I-1200 delivers superior seedbed preparation.

MagnaSpread, hailing from the BBI family of hydraulic, broadcast spreaders, is the industry-leading hydraulic platform for application of fertilizer and lime, optimized for precision ag.  MagnaSpread, like all of BBI’s hydraulic spreaders, features the company’s Task Command System, a precision farming technology suite powered by field guidance and variable-rate application tools.

Finally, the Salford Group team will feature a pair of tools from the Valmar line of precision application equipment.  The Valmar ST8 Strip Till Granular Fertilizer Applicator—with a 250-cubic-foot, 8-ton hopper that can be used as a single-meter hopper, or a 60/40 dual-meter hopper—is ideal for producers who want to capitalize on the lower cost of granular fertilizer.

The Valmar 1655 is an implement-mount applicator for spreading seed or applying herbicides. Designed to deliver unparalleled accuracy under a wide variety of ground conditions, the 1655 includes a number of innovative features – most notably the company’s Airflo metering system - designed to make granular application easier, safer, and more precise.
