BBI Team Joins Premier Equipment for North American Manure Expo

BBI’s Gerry Winters and Russ McEver will join the company’s dealer partner for Ontario, Premier Equipment, next week for the 2013 North American Manure Expo.

The event will take place August 20-21 at the University of Guelph’s Arkell Research Center in Arkell, Ontario.  The 2013 Manure Expo will focus on precision manure application for farmers across North American agricultural markets.

Sponsored by Annex Media and its Manure Manager magazine, the Manure Expo started in 2001 as a University of Wisconsin venture aimed at helping field managers compare manure application equipment.  This year’s edition, the 11th Expo, will be the first to be held on Canadian soil, after stops in Minnesota, Michigan, Iowa, Nebraska, Ohio, and Pennsylvania.

On the opening day of the Expo, participants will tour demonstrations of anaerobic digesters and large pits at the University of Guelph’s Arkell Research Center.

Representing Premier Equipment at the show will be David Shaw, the dealer’s head of sales training and short line product specialist, as well as Premier’s division sales manager and technology expert, Jeremy Murray.  Gerry Winters is BBI’s territory sales manager for the northeastern United States and Canada, while Russ McEver heads BBI’s unit focused on after-market parts, electronics, and service.

On day two of the Expo, the teams from Premier and BBI will demonstrate BBI’s Endurance organics applicator controlled by John Deere’s precision agriculture technology offering, GreenStar.  Endurance is a line of hydraulic spreaders optimized through variable rate technology to allow precision application of litter, manure, lime shavings, aggregates, and other organic materials.

The Endurance line is available in models ranging in size from 10 to 28 feet, as well as pull-type and truck-mount versions.  The industry leader in cost-in-use efficiency measures, Endurance reduces fuel consumption and application time by 40 percent over leading competitor models in the hydraulic litter spreader class.

“Gerry and I are honored to bring Endurance and team with Premier Equipment at this year’s Manure Expo,” stated McEver.  “As a company, we are proud of the impact the Endurance line has made in the economic fortunes of our customers around the world.   Joining one of our best dealers, Premier Equipment, in showing what this machine can accomplish fulfills our ongoing mission to bring the best equipment to the fields of North America.”
