The Valmar 456 granular forage preservative applicator is accurate and ease of use. The 456 is the best choice for applying granular preservatives to maintain the crop’s nutrient value and promote optimum palatability for livestock. Adding preservatives also extends the window for harvesting hay at a higher moisture content. The applicator’s fan-driven air delivery system evenly distributes granules through the hay mass. This easy-to-use 456 unit can be monitored and controlled with Valmar’s convenient in-cab unit and easily mounts to most makes and models of balers and forage harvesters.

The universal mounting stand on the Salford Valmar 456 allows for easy installation on most balers or forage harvesters. The outlet manifold is reversible allowing for front or rear product delivery and the fan-driven air delivery system allows for more mounting location options than with gravity-fed systems. This makes the Valmar 456 a fit with any baler on the market.

The 456 uses an electric driven fan allowing for easy hookup to your tractor’s 12-volt electrical outlet. This powers the fan running at speeds of 3,000-3,600 RPM and feeds air through a 2.5-inch outlet and into the 4-outlet manifold system.

Valmar’s four-outlet manifold system comes with both 12- and 28-groove plastic metering rollers. Allowing you to precisely distribute granules at a rate of up to five pounds per minute. Preservative is distributed through flexible heavy-duty delivery hoses with rigid outlet tubes.

Valmar’s precision manufacturing keeps the weather out and the hopper screen prevents foreign materials from entering. It features a 2.8-cubic-foot capacity (approx. 250 lbs) with a hopper bottom shutoff for easy access to metering rollers for regular cleaning.
