This fall, Salford Group is taking the SS400+ dual-bin spinner spreader on the road for live demos across North America. Mounted on a John Deere 800R floater, the SS400+ brings a 120-foot spread pattern, larger capacity, and dual-bin flexibility that redefine efficiency in fertilizer application. The SS400+ Road Show gives producers and dealers the chance to see real performance in the field, not just on paper.
Why the SS400+ is Turning Heads
Farmers and custom applicators are always looking to do more in less time. The SS400+ delivers. With a 120-foot spread width, operators can cover up to 33% more acres per pass than traditional 80-foot spreaders. That means fewer trips across the field, lower fuel use, and higher productivity per day.
Operators who’ve run the SS400+ also notice the larger hopper capacity holding up to 427 cubic feet. Most competitor boxes sit hold around 330 cubic feet, but the SS400+ offers nearly 100 cu.ft. more room and flexibility with dual-bin configurations for variable rate or straight-rate applications. Whether applying MAP and potash or switching bin splits for fall fertilizer runs, the SS400+ adapts to how you work. We are using the dual bin configuration for the road tour but the SS400+ does allow for Lime application.

Due to the time required to change the SS400+ dual bin insert, lime application won’t be part of the tour — even the fastest pit crew would struggle to keep up with our tour schedule!
