Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Check Your Current Software Version
Before updating, confirm the software version installed on your TeeJet IC38.
- Go to the Home Screen and click on the Menu button.
- Select Help from the menu.
- Click on About to view the software version number displayed at the top of the screen.
2. Download the Latest Software Update
To obtain the latest TeeJet IC38 software update files, follow these steps:
- Contact your Salford dealer to receive the update files.
- If you are a dealer, log in to the Salford Dealer Portal and navigate to the Resource Section and click on the Software Updates tile and then on the following page locate the BBI Spreader Pull Type Heading.
- Below this heading there will be the link to download the latest TeeJet IC38 file.
- Once you click the link the file will be downloaded to the downloads folder.
The latest software version number will be indicated in the file name on the portal.
If the version number matches the version number on your IC38 then an update is not needed.
3. Install the Software Update on Your IC38
Once you have downloaded the update file, follow these installation steps:
- Upload the “TJRUN” Folder to a clean USB with no other files on it.
- Power up the unit and plug in the USB into the IC38 system.
If the IC38 is an older model the cover may need to be removed to expose the USB port.
- Once the USB has been plugged in, an LED light will turn green indicating that the software update has been downloaded.
- Once the light has gone green the USB can be removed.
- Turn power off to the machine, then back on to run it through a power cycle.
- Then the latest version will be up-to date.

- Ensure the USB drive is formatted correctly and has sufficient space.
- Do not power off the IC38 during the update process to prevent installation issues.
- If you encounter errors, verify the file version and reattempt the update.
