Salford’s Ousdahl and Herperger Team Up for Peace Country Classic Agri-Show

The winter ag show season comes to a conclusion as Salford territory managers Scott Ousdahl and Glenn Herperger team up with service manager Mitch Miller to make their way to beautiful Grande Prairie, Alberta  for the Peace Country Classic Agri-Show.

The 31st running of the Peace Country Classic will take place March 10-12. The show has grown steadily since its humble beginnings to become the largest event of its kind for the farming community in northwestern Alberta and surrounding areas.

The Salford Group team of Ousdahl, Herperger, and Miller will split time at the company’s indoor booths in 242/243and outdoor booths in 413/415, supporting area dealers and educating area producers on the Salford Group family of products built for soil productivity—Salford, BBI, Valmar, and Aerway.

Salford Group is proud to display a pair of great pieces of equipment designed to meet the needs of large farming operations in the area. From the Salford Valmar lineup of precision application equipment comes the largest pneumatic boom fertilizer spreader on the market, the Valmar Airflo 8611. The high-capacity 8611 boasts immense field-covering capabilities, as it features pneumatic booms available up to 66 feet. The 8611 combines mammoth hopper capacity with precision metering delivered by a ground-wheel-drive system that adjusts application rate on-the-go, ensuring uniformity of material spread regardless of ground speed.

Hailing from the Salford BBI family of precision broadcast spreaders is MagnaSpread, the industry-leading hydraulic platform for application of fertilizer and lime, optimized for precision ag. MagnaSpread is available in a wide variety of hopper sizes (including the 24-foot model on display at Peace Country), designed for every environment from golf courses and turf farms to large-acreage farming operations. Like all of BBI’s hydraulic spreaders, MagnaSpread features the company’s Task Command System, a precision farming technology suite powered by field guidance and variable-rate application tools.
