Junior and Scott Whitworth, the fabled father/son duo of tractor pulling fame, take the BBI Spreaders tractor to the Iowa State Fair next week for the 2013 Grand Outlaw National Truck and Tractor Pull.
Sponsored by Iowa Farmer Today, the Pull will take place on Wednesday, August 14 in front of the Grandstand on the Iowa State Fairgrounds. Tractors will race in nine different classes, including the light super stock division where the Whitworths routinely compete on the Outlaw tractor pull circuit.
Tickets for the event range from $10-20, with children under five gaining free admission to the event.
Junior and Scott Whitworth are long-time fixtures of the tractor pull circuit, known through the years for their consistent performance and slew of top-five finishes. The Whitworths currently race a John Deere 4020 model sporting BBI green and white colors, with Scott serving as the BBI team’s driver.
Junior Whitworth is the owner of a farm equipment dealership, Worthington Ag Service of Worthington, Missouri, a key dealer partner for BBI Spreaders in the Midwest.
“We are thrilled to support the Whitworth family for another season of Outlaw tractor pulls,” stated Lee Kilpatrick, Director of Sales and Marketing at BBI. “This is a family that’s committed to serving our customers every day in a dealership that’s so trusted by Missouri farmers. Sponsoring the Whitworth family entry on the tractor pull series is a fun way for us to reach out to the people that make Worthington Ag and BBI Spreaders great places to work—our customers in the farming communities of the heartland.”
